Design for a bookcase, 1767 (1)

Notes

This bookcase was attributed by Bolton as being a design for Campbell's house at Combe Bank in Kent. Although it is not known if a bookcase to this design was executed, it is important to note that the frieze is identical to that for a chimneypiece designed for Ardencaple in 1762 (Adam volumes 22/72-74), and is therefore more likely to have been intended for the same room.
