Purpose

Camolin Park, Co.Wexford, Ireland: survey drawings and designs for alterations for Viscount Valentia, 1815 (6)

Notes

It seems that the Viscount Valentia for whom the designs were made was the 10th Viscount (George, 1785-1863). None of Soane's designs were taken up and perhaps George Papworth - who made drawings [1]-[2] - recieived the comission.

P.Dean, Sir John Soane and the country estate,1999, p.194 has information that the house has been demolished (Vanishing Houses of Ireland , Irish Georgian Society, p.149).
