Purpose
Design for a ceiling for a bedroom on the first floor, 1759 (1)
Notes
This design was executed in a bedroom in the south west corner of the first floor. It remains in situ.
That this design is replicated in feint pencil on the plan (drawing 1), in the ceiling of Mrs Boscawen's dressing room, on the west front of the ground floor, suggests that it was not originally intended for the first floor bedroom in which it was executed.
