[5] Design for the house and offices, 1776, unexecuted
Aspect
Elevation of principal (south) front of a two-and-a-half-storey, five-bay central block with a hipped roof and two chimneystacks, and flanked by two-storey, three-bay links leading to two-storey, one-bay pavilions, all above a half-sunk basement, and the principal storey of the central block is rusticated, with windows set within relieving arches and a string course which extends to envelop all five blocks, and the upper storeys of the central block have a frieze containing enclosed rosettes, an entablature, and a Corinthian pilaster at each end, with the central three bays articulated by a Corinthian pilasters forming a tetrastyle portico surmounted by a pediment with three acroteria, and the main entrance is surmounted by a fanlight and accessed by a straight external stair, and the links have a frieze, entablature and flat roofs, with a pedimented central window surmounted by a tablet, and the pavilions are pedimented each with three acroteria, with their window set within a relieving arch
