The office Day Book has an entry under 7 June 1808 - 'Lord Breadalbane / Copying internal Sketch / for fitting out of the Dining / Room / Edwards' which suggests Francis Edwards (1784-1857, improver July 1806-October 1810) as the draughtsman for this drawing - and probably the other drawings in this volume (59) for Taymouth Castle.

Notes

The design corresponds with that shown in drawings [4] and [6]. Added are eight chairs with draped seats, two couches, two sculpted figures on pedestals and blue fringed drapes to the windows. A tall and ornate mirror has been placed over the chimney-piece, walls are painted yellpw and a large carpet covers the entire floor.
