Purpose
Record drawings for friezes for the hall, ante room, dining room, and drawing room, N.D. (2)
Notes
In 1775-76 Adam installed interiors in the hall, drawing room, dining room and ante room at The Elms, but as the house was demolished in c1825 it is not known if these interiors were executed in accordance with the surviving drawings.
It is not possible to date this drawing as it is included in a volume of record drawing frieze designs, which includes friezes from various architectural projects from throughout the Adam office. See appendix on volume 53.
