Preliminary design for an ironwork balustrade for the top of the new loggia on the east front of the house, 1774, unexecuted (1)

Notes

This ironwork was intended for around the top of the new loggia at the centre of the principal (east) front of the house, providing a balustraded viewing platform or balcony. This was not executed, and instead a stone balustrade was installed in the early twentieth century.
