Purpose

Design for a chimneypiece for the hall, 1768, executed with minor alterations (1)

Notes

There is an Adam office variant of this design within the National Trust drawings collection at Osterley which shows the chimneypiece exactly as executed. The corner roundels are replaced with Child family heraldic eagles. The chimneypiece survives in situ.
