Purpose
Alternative unfinished designs for a chimneypiece for the back drawing room, 1769, roughly as executed (2)
Notes
As evidenced by the 1939 inventory of the house, the back drawing room chimneypiece was executed to a design by Adam, and appears to have been roughly similar to these designs. It is thought to have been lost when the house was demolished in 1939.
