Purpose
Finished drawing and record drawing for a mirror frame for the saloon, 1764, as executed (2)
Notes
This executed mirror frame for the saloon - now lost - was designed by James Adam in 1764. According to Harris this was one of James's earliest designs following his Grand Tour, and is the only design for furniture within the Adam drawings collection at the Soane Museum which is signed by him. Harris describes the design as 'spotty and poorly integrated'.
