[6] Finished drawing for a ceiling for the square room, 1769
Aspect
Plan of a rectangular ceiling, with a central square compartment flanked by bands of scrolled hearts, with a central medallion, enclosed within crockets and four peltoid shields, and the whole set within an x-shaped frame of cable moulding with a rosette enclosed within a fan at each end, and to each of the four sides is a compartment of half figures, festoons, cameos, and rinceaux, all set within another x-shaped frame of cable moulding, with a quarter rosette enclosed within a fan in each corner, and a segmental compartment containing winged sphinxes flanking an urn to each side, and set within a border of fluting and rosettes
