[43] Unfinished preliminary design for the walls of the first drawing room, 1780-85, unexecuted

Aspect

Elevation of a two-bay window wall, and the wall opposite, with two windows surmounted by the royal coat of arms, swags, and lion masks, flanking a pier table, surmounted by a pier glass frame, and with a tripod candelabra to the right-hand side. The opposite wall has a central apse, screened by two Corinthian columns, surmounted by a frieze of anthemia, a lion and a unicorn, and the wall is ornamented with Corinthian pilasters
