Notes

The front has a portico with eight Ionic columns on a semicircular plan and the end bays are each framed by two pairs of lesenes and a pediment. A lesene is 'A pilaster without base or capital. Also called a pilaster-strip' (J.Lever & J. Harris, Illustrated dictiionary of architecture, 1800-1914, 1993)
