Finished drawing and a mutilated design for a ceiling, 1766 (2)

Notes

The ornamentation of festoons around the cove, as well as the scale of the ceiling show that these ceiling designs were probably made for the same room as Adam's laid out wall elevations . The fact that the central circular compartment in Adam volume 11/187 has been cropped away suggests that it was rejected, or reused for another design.

It is not known if either of these designs were executed. See scheme notes.
