The three-part organisation of the principal front is clearly seen with the busy centre of the porte-cochere in front of a projecting bay (now crowned by a heraldic device) in front of a lantern tower flanked by pedimented end bays. The composition is more lively and three-dimensional than in previous designs A-D.
