Notes
The drawing shows a three-bay front with side and garden elevations of five bays. Kalman (pp.178-9) in a discussion of harmonic proportion makes the point that in this plan three rooms have identical dimensions of 19 feet 7½ inches by 30 feet 4½ inches, close to 2:3, a musical fifth.
