Notes

Dance has roughly indicated the domes on the two pavilions to the north added by Robert Adam. The bedchamber plan engraved in Vitruvius Britannicus (IV, pl.75) and that engraved by James Basir are close though the dimensions, where given, vary by several inches and the bedroom floor over the three-bay projection of the Great Hall to the west is not shown in Vitruvius Britannicus and must be an addition.
