Of the two variant front elevations, both have short buttresses, one has Venetian crenellations while the other is more plain. The key front elevation relates to the porte-cochere shown in Design D ([SM D2/1/4]) - except that, for example, it does not have Venetian crenellations - as well as to Design F ([SM D2/1/6]).
