The purpose of the drawing seems to be to show Dance's design for a garden terrace in relation to the existing front through which Dance has added, in pencil, some turrets and changed the proportion of some windows. The dimensions of the east front are 39..2¾ plus 21..9¼ plus 56..7½ plus 21..9¼ plus 39..3½.
