Notes
Dance experiments with plain octagonal-cross piers and with the same piers shorn of two projections that are replaced by columns with broad, ribbed leaf capitals. An added piece of paper obscures the parapet and Dance has roughed in an alternative treatment with wreathed, capped pedestals fronted by seated lions and a fictive achievement of arms in the centre. This drawing (previously listed as 'unidentified') relates closely to the porte-cochere shown on [SM D2/7/9].
