Purpose
Design for a ceiling for the hall, 1763, unexecuted (1)
Notes
This ceiling design could have been intended for any of the large rectangular rooms on the principal floor at Compton Verney: the library, great parlour or drawing room (all on the south front of the house). As the house was redecorated in the nineteenth century it is not known if or where this ceiling was executed.
