Notes
Except for the library, the drawing of the other three rooms is unfinished.
The decoration for the library's east wall includes, above the windows and bookcases, panels with sketchy friezes of white figures on a grey (sepia) ground that are probably derived from Greek vase paintings (see also [SM D3/7/16]). Above these is a frieze with a light green back-ground and scroll and palmette ornament. (See the note on painted decoration in Appendix 1.)
The three French windows are marked 11 feet 8 inches high and 6 feet 6 inches wide.
