Slender pilasters run from floor to ceiling dividing the bookshelves and doors which have above them a frieze, 15 inches wide, awaiting decoration except for two areas that have scrolly ornament and a lyre. Below the frieze are panels also awaiting decoration. In the centre, a plain chimney-piece with a grate has a tall looking glass above it.
