Notes

This drawing (with [SM D1/2/19], [SM D1/2/20], [SM D1/2/13], and [SM D1/2/8]) shows the Hall of Entrance with pilasters on three sides. On this plan, the heating ducts run in serpentine curves from near the south side of the hall to the back and there are amendments to the layout of the stair. Washed in a light green, the wall that divided the original stair from the room on its west side is to be reduced in height to the level of the flues of the warm-air system. The area of the existing stairs is, apparently, to be lowered five feet 'below the level of the present Ground Floor'. Adjustments to the floor level were needed to accommodate the heating flues.
