Aspect

Ground plan of a rectangular house comprising a central staircase with a double-apsidal hall to the front and a central three-bay bow to the rear, flanked by a servants’ hall, and housekeeper’s room, with flanking quadrant links terminating in pavilions with oval-shaped enclosed courts. The links and pavilions have service rooms including a scullery, wash house, larder, water closets, pantry and kitchen, as well as staircases, and the courts have stores for wood, coals, ashes and for feeding fowls, enclosed by screens of columns
