Purpose
[5] Design for the principal elevation of a building, 1791, unexecuted
Aspect
Principal elevation of a three-storey house with flanking links, wings, and single-storey walls, similar to SM Adam volume 1/208. The main house is three bays wide with a hipped roof and a rusticated ground floor and central portico with Tuscan columns supporting a balustrade to the first floor, with a square-headed window within a moulded surround and an oculus above, within a recessed arch. There is a first-floor balustrade which repeats on the single-storey links, and the terminating wings have ground-floor tripartite windows with Diocletian windows above, and hipped roofs
