[8] Design for the west elevation of a house, 1787, unexecuted
Aspect
West elevation of the flank side of a three-storey house over a half-sunk basement, with a porte-cochere with a balustrade supported by Tuscan columns on one side, a balustraded perron staircase on the other side, and an adjoining three-bay pavilion in the foreground. The house has a Venetian window on the principal floor and a Giant Ionic pilaster to the corner of the upper floors. The pavilion has an arcaded ground floor and a broken-base pediment to the upper floors. The basement is rusticated and there is a moulded cornice across the entire elevation
