Purpose
[12] Design for a section through a castle-style building, 1789, unexecuted
Aspect
Axial section through a three-storey house over a half-sunk, vaulted basement with a porte-cochere at one end and a circular turret at the other. In the centre of the house is a three-storey, roof-lit, principal staircase and gallery with Doric piers, Corinthian columns and Ionic columns on each floor respectively. The different coloured washes denote the building materials
