- Robert and James Adam office drawings
Purpose
Preliminary design and designs for a curved recess, and for the walls of the circular dressing room, 1766-9 (6)
Notes
Despite the fact that Adam volume 50/87 has been misinscribed by William Hamilton, it, as well as Adam volume 14/121, relates to one of the ceiling designs for this room (Adam volume 11/149), and Adam volume 14/120 related to the other ceiling design (Adam volume 11/148). The latter, less colourful version was executed by Joseph Rose and Antonio Zucchi, but was demolished by Barry in the 1840s.
