[11] Alternative design for the ground floor of a house, c.1790, executed to a variant design
Aspect
Ground plan of a rectangular house with a portico on one side leading to a garden lobby, and external steps leading to an entrance hall on the other. Rooms include a parlour, servants’ hall, study for Mr Macpherson, dressing rooms, a principal stair and back stair. Flanking the house are links terminating in pavilions, containing a kitchen, scullery, larder, storerooms, courts and water closets
