Purpose

Finished drawing for the library (now the old library), 1765-68, as executed (1)

Notes

The library is on the north front of the house, between the hall and Edwin Lascelles's study. Like the music room it survives almost intact following restoration by the 7th Earl. The wall panels survive and are attributed to Biagio Rebecca, with capricci by Antonio Zucchi and Angelica Kauffman.
