[6] Finished drawing for the north front of additions to the College of Justice, 1791, unexecuted
Aspect
North elevation of the additions to the College of Justice (including the Advocates’ Library) comprising a three-bay, two-storey building with a hipped roof. The ground floor is rusticated and arcaded with a central tripartite window divided by Tuscan columns. The first floor has a central balustraded Venetian window flanked by windows within pedimented surrounds with consoles, with medallions above. The entire elevation is adorned with a variety of decorative elements including vermiculated panels, inset circles, strigilated panels, and a mixture of geometric, festoon, and enclosed anthemion friezes
