Purpose
Preliminary design, design, an unfinished alternative record drawing, and a record drawing for the ceiling of the drawing room, 1761 (4)
Notes
The ceiling as executed, following the design seen in Adam volume 11/66 is in a delicate low relief, being more typical of Adam's mature style, and showing us why Shardeloes is a good example of Adam's transitional phase between his early and more mature styles.
