Preliminary design for a clock, ND
Aspect
Rough elevation of a clock supported by a pedestal. The pedestal’s base is ornamented with fluting and rosettes and is surmounted by two sphinxes flanking an urn which support a level ornamented by garlands and ribbons. Two caryatids connect this level to the next and flank the circular dial, which is encircled by bellflowers and ornamented with a ribbon. Above, a finial flanked by two palmettes surmounts a frieze containing arabesques
