Notes
The stair rises in ten shallow (6 inch) winders from the basement under the anatomy theatre to the right-hand door with the Great Niche in Portugal Street and thence upwards a further eight stairs. Comparison with an 'as executed' basement plan ([SM D5/1/19]) shows a stair in that location.
