Preliminary design for an armchair, ND

Aspect

Rough elevation of a balloon-back armchair with a cresting of palmette and ornamented with bellflowers. The back is supported by a fluted shoe piece ornamented with a palmette flanked by sphinxes. Gooseneck arms culminate in volute handholds. A seat rail ornamented by olive leaf is punctuated ram masks at the knees and is supported by cabriole legs terminating in paw feet
