Design for a door for the hall, as executed, 1761 (1)

Notes

The doors are shown in the laid out wall elevations for the hall (Adam volume 31/102). They were carved by Sefferin Alkin and Richard Lawrence and remain in situ. Many of the other doors in the house have Adam door furniture, albeit originally designed for projects elsewhere.

The original furniture for this room was designed by Linnell, the drawings for which are held at the V&A Museum.
