[1] Preliminary design for a pier glass frame for John Adam, c.1772, executed status unknown
Aspect
Elevation of a pier glass frame comprising two halves. The upper half comprises a tripartite frame which is articulated by two moulded legs terminating in tubular flowers at the top with figures above. In the centre are a series of wreaths diminishing in size, terminating in three enclosed rosettes with festoons in between. The base comprises a large platform with a central urn raised on a calyx pair. The lower half contains a circular mirror with winged half-figures at the upper corners supporting festoons with a peltoid shield hanging from the centre. At the base are two griffons on a raised platform
