Preliminary design for a carpet, ND
Aspect
Plan of a rectangular carpet ornamented with a central rosette, surrounded by ox and lion masks, which suspend festoons of husks, which form a lozenge-shaped compartment. This is surrounded by rosettes set within wreaths of husks and all this is set within a band of Vitruvian scroll and a band of rosettes
