Preliminary design for a chimneypiece, ND
Aspect
Elevation of a chimneypiece with a tapering Doric pilaster style, supported by paw feet. The style is ornamented with a panel containing an urn, surmounted by a band of scrolled hearts. Above this there are ram masks, with rosettes and festoons in between. The capital contains a tablet ornamented with a half-putto, flanked by arabesques. The frieze has a central blank tablet, with a band of dentils above
