Design for a chimneypiece, ND
Aspect
Elevation of a chimneypiece with Doric pilaster styles depicting pedestals ornamented with bands of strigilation, rosettes, ram masks and festoons. The pedestals support draped female figures. The capitals contain lions and the frieze is ornamented with a band of calyx and a band of rosettes, alternating with masks which support anthemia and suspend festoons. Above the frieze there are ornamental bands of fluting, egg and dart moulding and laurel leaf tips
