[1] Design for a chimneypiece, ND
Aspect
Elevation of a chimneypiece with Doric pilaster styles ornamented with scrolls, which are embellished with masks and bands of drop calyx and the scrolls terminate in acanthus leaves. Set in between the scrolls there is a T-shaped panel ornamented with pedestals supporting urns and turned balusters, which support anthemia, tablets, further urns and arabesques. The frieze is ornamented with a band of fluting and a band of rosettes alternating with ram masks, which suspend festoons of husks. The frieze terminates in tablets containing draped, winged figures and above this there is a band of strigilation and paterae
