Preliminary design for a chimneypiece, ND
Aspect
Elevation of a chimneypiece with the lining bordered by a band of fluting. The styles are ornamented with gadrooned urns and ram masks, bordered by rosettes and bands of husks. The frieze has a central roundel depicting a mask, and this is flanked by swags and reclining lions(?), with a band of fluting beyond. The mantel is ornamented with a band of laurel leaf tips
