Preliminary design for a chimneypiece, ND
Aspect
Elevation of a chimneypiece with Doric pilaster styles ornamented with bands of acanthus leaves; ram masks, which suspend a festoon of husks, rosettes, and urns and ox skull suspending drop calyx, rosettes and urns. The frieze has a central tablet ornamented with a patera set within a wreath of husks and flanked by ox masks. The tablet is flanked by L-shaped panels ornamented with arabesques supporting anthemia and calyx, and this panel is bordered by rosettes
