Notes
A bust stands on a stepped pedestal resting on a chimney-piece plainer than the preceding example. The bust, pedestal and chimney-piece are now more integrated. The Accounts for 1813 state 'Black Marble chimney-piece in Museum' at a cost of £128.7.3¼ (RCS Archive, Account ledger 1806-1813); however, each of Dance's designs ([SM D5/3/26], [SM D5/3/24] and [SM D5/3/22]) shows a black chimney-piece and it is not known which was the executed design though perhaps [SM D5/3/22] pricked for transfer, was carried out.
