The 'principal staircase' was in College House, 41 Lincoln's Inn Fields. Both designs are for a dog-leg stair; the second one ([SM D5/3/15] and [SM D5/3/11]) is more fully worked out and include details for the timber structure of the staircase. And while the first design is rather slack, the second is tauter and more economical.
