Notes
Amendments include, for example, a door and step for the museum at the north end. The front room of No.42 has twin alcoves on the west wall that appear in a later drawing dated 1 June 1812 ([D5/9/14]). Both [D5/1/9] and [D5/1/11] show two elongated elliptical skylights in the museum that were not built. [D5/3/2] shows preliminary details of a skylight of the same form and dimensions. However, while the ten-bay front to Lincoln's Inn Fields in [D5/1/9] has amendments, these are omitted on this copy drawing and a ten-bay front is shown instead of the executed seven-bay front.
