This is a tidy copy of [SM D4/3/1] with plans and sections of the rusticated wall added.
It seems that after the contract deviation with crenellations ([SM D4/3/3]) was signed there were second thoughts about the treatment of the facade. Pediments were substituted for the crenallated parapet because 'it would have been subject to decay' (Report of the Committee for General Purposes, 26 July 1791, CLRO, P.A.R. Book 2, p.6, quoted by Kalman p.324).
