Preliminary design for a cottage, ND
Aspect
Above- Plan of a three-by-three-bay building with a central entrance, set behind a colonnaded screen. Beyond this there is a central dining room and to the rear of the building there is a drawing room with a canted bay window. The central rooms are flanked by staircases. Beyond the central block there are link bays and additional blocks
Below- Elevation of a single-storey, three-bay building, with a central entrance flanked by windows and set behind a Doric colonnaded screen. The central bay is flanked by projecting bays with half-height, latticed windows. Beyond the principal building there are single-storey link blocks containing gabled, latticed windows. These link to single-storey, single-bay pavilions, with thatched roofs supporting belvederes containing clocks and bearing weather vanes
