Notes

Dance shows the Tivoli Temple's characteristic tapering door and window; the door measuring 7..6 at its top and 7..11 at its bottom, the window externally 3..8 and 3..10 3/8 and internally 3..2 7/8 and 3..4 6/8. The cornice, shouldered architrave and flat shouldered sill of the inside face of the window are the source for the Tivoli window that, published by Palladio, was used by Inigo Jones and later architects; as it was the form for the 'Vitruvian' opening (door or window) in which the width between the jambs narrows towards the top.
